An eastbound coal drag idles at the east end of Flat Top Yard on a beautiful, and very mild November afternoon.
This train is useing secondary symbol, NS M47 since another 147 was directly behind it.
16T heads out of Vardo Yard, with the Blue Ridge, which the N&W always paralleled in the Shenandoah Valley, not crossed, in the distance.
NS 336, heading to Macon, GA, has a catfish, an ex-CR SD50, and a Guilford (MEC) unit. The MEC unit is sure a long way from home, but I bet it is enjoying the weather.
